Critical Positioning & Solid Applications

For high-precision measurement and signal stability, please follow these core installation guidelines: Wall Clearance (L): Maintain a minimum distance of 300mm (12") from the tank wall. For optimal performance, the recommended mounting position is at 1/2 of the tank radius. Solid Materials Optimization: In silos or solid storage applications, aim the antenna beam directly toward the discharge port area. This ensures the most reliable level tracking during material drawdown.

Vertical Installation & Alignment

To ensure optimal signal reflection, the radar gauge must be installed vertically. Tilt Angle: A maximum tilt of ≤ 3° is recommended. Precision Alignment: Ensure the flange connection is perfectly horizontal. This is critical for liquid applications, especially in tall tanks. Optimal Performance: The sensor must remain as perpendicular as possible to the liquid surface to achieve the most accurate measurement results.

Avoiding Feed Inlet Interference

To maintain measurement accuracy and signal integrity, the radar instrument must be installed in a position where the antenna beam does not intersect with the material intake stream (feed inlet). Why it matters: Positioning the radar away from the inflow area prevents signal scattering and false echoes caused by falling product during filling operations. Best Practice: Refer to the diagram to ensure the beam path remains clear of the direct pouring trajectory.
